Migraines and Taxes
I woke up with a migraine today. Not good, as today was the day set aside for finishing my annual letter to Uncle Sam. So it’s now 3 p.m., and I haven’t really gotten started well. Sigh.
To address the migraine, I took my last two Maxalt (gotta get to the pharmacy this week!), drank several cups of very hot tea and several more glasses of ice water, took a boiling hot bath in mom’s whirlpool tub, and laid around a lot. I also dabbed a hefty amount of essential oil of lavender onto my temples and under my nose. That seems to help; heaven knows why.
It’s all rather boring for the boys, bless them. But they’ve become accustomed to my disabilities since the wreck, and are very good and helpful. They play nicely by themselves, check on me to see if I need anything, and are quiet and kind. Again, bless them.
I’m going to try to get some tax work done in the next hour or two, as the pain has settled into a dull ache on the right side of my head. It’s dull enough that I can probably ignore it. For a while. And we’ll need some dinner around 5, so that will be a good time to break and see how things go.
