More Mouse Story…

So, I was putting away groceries and cleaning up the pantry this evening, and I came across more “fun” signs that we had a mouse in our house.
I moved a box, and saw funny little red shavings on the shelf. Odd! On the top of that shelf, balanced across two tall boxes, was a canister of raisins with a red, plastic lid. Mousie had tried to gnaw his way into the canister by chewing on the plastic. I couldn’t tell if he’d made it in or not, so I trashed the canister.
Ditto with a box of crackers, and a couple of other items. On the whole, we didn’t lose much to the marauder. I hated to kill him. But, after all, he broke into my house and stole from me. And they do carry disease. So. Sigh.
