Well, the Madness Seems to Have Spilled Over
from Wednesday to Thursday. We got out of choir practise at 9:30 last night, so we didn’t get home til 10. I didn’t get out of bed til 7 this morning. So I’m kind of boggy today and not functioning on all six cylinders. Or however many there are.
However, my hair stylist finally called me and I have an appointment to get my do done tomorrow. Whew. I was afraid I’d have to do that solo Sunday looking like a weeping willow.
And things are all wacky at work. There are rumours flying all over that a key employee quit, but no one can prove it. We get a lot of “can’t confirm or deny” type garbage from the upper-levels. But I’m being given some odd assignments that are really making me wonder what is going on. The atmosphere around here is so tense you could butter your toast with it.
Anyway. I will be SO glad when this week is over. There’s just too much happening at once.
Today I have work, of course, and I have to take a lasagna to the potluck dinner for the choir that is performing at our church tonight, so I have to leave the office early. And I need to get the laundry started and clean up the lasagna mess in the kitchen. Tomorrow is work and payday (so a bank trip), and I have to get my hair cut, and I need to finish the laundry and clean the living room because the ex will be coming for the kids on Saturday. Saturday is going to be tricky. The kids and I see the dentist at 9 a.m., then their dad picks them up at 10:30 and I go to teach a CPR class at the Red Cross office, but I have to be home by 5:30 when the ex drops them off. And Sunday I have to be at church by 8 so I can sing for the 8:30 service and then for the 10:50 service. And then the kids’ dad will pick them up at 1:00, and I actually get a few hours to breathe before he drops them off at 5:30 and we go back to church for handbell practise. I can’t wait.
