Things Mom Really Doesn’t Want to Hear

The first few came in my e-mail, but I’ve edited the list and added a few of my own to make it fit my life a little better. The things a single mom doesn’t want to hear are a little different from the things a married mom doesn’t want to hear. Sometimes.
- I swallowed the goldfish.
- Your lipstick works better than crayons.
- The VCR ate my ham sandwich.
- Does grape juice leave a stain?
- My Sunday School teacher wants to talk to you….
- But you said that word when you slammed your hand in the door!
- Daddy lets us do that when we are at his house.
- Is it bad if my rock went through the living room window?
- I can’t find my caterpillars!
- I painted your new shoes with spots to match your new dress!
- The dog doesn’t like dressing up in your underwear.
- You know that new dress that you wore to the party? Well….
- Your toothbrush is perfect for brushing the hamster’s fur.
- I want to live with my daddy forever.

Aren’t kids just a riot? LOL! Try, I have a bead in my ear…head to the hospital, they can’t get it out either. A day later we go back and the bead is gone. My child’s response. “Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, it fell out on my pillow last night.”
Gotta love ’em!
One single mom to another…
The last one would just break my heart! How much easier these things would be able to handle with two…and how much more rewarding handling these as a single mother taking on both roles when our young children crosses out the father on there happy fathers day card they made in school and puts mommy. It reminds you that moms do make great dads as well!
The last one made me laugh. I’d say ‘Go live with him then, let’s see how he likes dealing with you!”
