Once More Gainfully Employed!

Well, I accepted First Offer today. Last step is the drug test, which is a breeze. I’ve never even smoked, much less done illegal drugs.

Things just kind of shook themselves out. Possibility 1 is out of town until the end of the month … well, I’m not waiting around for two or three more weeks for a maybe. Especially when the location was a disadvantage and I wasn’t too sure about the atmosphere of the office. Possibility 2 said that I was second on their list of choices, as another candidate had held an identical situation once before. So that took that possibility off the list. And Possibility 3 was looking at paying only $24K. So that one went right on the “no” pile.

Thank God. A job. With a decent salary and good benefits. And nice people and a perfect location. What could be better? Here’s hoping that it turns out to be as great as it seems. I start Monday.
