Busy, Sunburnt, Tired
Working hard this weekend. Kids are with their dad.
In addition to buying and installing MS Office and a 500-GB external hard drive on my computer, I’ve weeded the flowerbeds and watered the lawns (which is how I got the sunburn), made a huge batch of fresh tomato salsa, paid the bills, done six loads of laundry and folded and put the clothes away, and fed my friend’s cat.
I went to my brother’s house for the family get-together yesterday, and will go to my grandma’s tonight for her city’s fireworks display. Tomorrow I will go to church, if my headache is gone.
I’ve listened to John Grisham’s The Broker on audio CD while working. And Joel Feldman’s “What Do You Know” and “Says You” on public radio. And I’m very close to beating Hell’s Kitchen, a video game I bought online last Thursday. (It’s pretty good, but it has a few bugs in it. And it keeps overloading my system. I think I need a bigger cache of RAM to play these newer games.)
I need to clean the kitchen, unload the dishwasher, and change the bed linens on our three beds. And vacuum the floors. I also have a lot of filing to finish, a newsletter to compile, and two manuscripts to finish editing. But I’ve done a lot this weekend, and I am quite pleased with myself.
