I Love a Vacation
I’m going to be working hard over the Thanksgiving weekend, but not at the office.
Don’t get me wrong, I love my job. But daylight saving time is over, and I get up in the dark, drive to the office shortly after sunrise, and leave the office shortly before sunset. I see the sun and enjoy the fresh air for a total of half an hour a day!
So it will be nice to spend four whole days at home, including some time outdoors with the boys.
Still, I have to help Mom get ready for our family’s Sunday Thanksgiving feast. We’re having the family get-together on that day to accommodate my sister-in-law’s work schedule. She’s a medical resident, and the pace is quite grueling.
I’m looking forward to the early office-closing tomorrow, and the long weekend. I need it. Rest, fresh air, exercise, and a change of pace. What could be better?!
