Was It The Bride’s Gun, Or the Groom’s?

A wedding party in Serbia caused a two-seater sports plane to crash, seriously injuring the two men riding in the plane—neither of whom, incidentally, appears to have had a pilot’s license.
How on earth did a wedding party cause an aircraft to crash? They were shooting their guns into the air and shot through the left wing of the plane. Apparently, it is a common occurrence in Serbia to have someone publicize his joy at weddings and other happy events by popping off a few rounds with his handiest firearm. Wonder how many birds they accidentally kill that way?

Saw this on TV it is the wildest story I have ever heard.
Editormum, I went to my first GRITO DE LA INDEPENDENCIA in Mexico City and as the President shouted “VIVA” the guns went off everywhere, into the air. I never went back and now they discourage that.
Africa celebrates and many Muslim nations celebrate with gunfire. They have fun fun fun ’til their daddy takes their AK away. No CNN to report collateral celebratory damage.
Now, I know that Serbia does, too. Won’t be attending any weddings anytime soon there, thanks.
