Someone Please Tell Me It Slows Down….

Eventually…..

After a busy week, a person kind of hopes for a quiet weekend to recharge and recoup. Not gonna happen.

Made the Tenebrae service last night, and it went beautifully. As soon as we got home, my youngest puked again. Back on a clear diet for him.

But we forgot that we were supposed to have our pictures made for the new church directory last night before services, so we are going to try to fit that in today. Along with the church Easter Egg hunt, going to the grocery and the dollar store, going to the candy store for a few Easter goodies, mailing a package at the post office, stopping by my mom’s to pick up my son’s guitar (4-day weekend, and he has to practise), going by the salon to get my three-month supply of special shampoo, doing my taxes, and, hopefully, getting some more of the bulbs planted. Aiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!

However, the ex has the kids tomorrow for Easter, so I can do some planting tomorrow and maybe finish the laundry while they are gone. And with Monday and Tuesday off, I can probably get it all caught up before I have to return to work on Wednesday. I have to get it done, because I have to go out of town for a curriculum fair next weekend, so I don’t have those workdays that I usually have.

I think I need to trim some activities, but darned if I can figure out which ones. The curriculum fairs are only twice a year and bring in at least $100 each, more if I sell more. Being part of the music ministry at church is my one indulgence just for me. Certifying to teach CPR cost me over $200, and I have to teach only once a year to keep my certs — I like to teach more often, but there isn’t any necessity to do so. I can’t cut out laundry, meals, housekeeping, child care, or going to work. I shop only for necessities….so what’s left to cut? Blogging and writing? Not gonna happen. They keep me sane. So I’m stymied.

Ah well, maybe as they get older, things will quiet down. But I doubt it. My oldest is ready to start Cub Scouts, which will mean another evening and occasional weekends out of the picture. He also wants to learn to tap dance. My youngest wants to take ballet and drum lessons, which should be interesting. I think he’d be quite good at drums, but I don’t know if I can stand the noise. LOL.
