WHAT a Morning!
I had the most unspeakably bad start to my day, culminating in me being late to work.
Somehow, it never occurred to me that today is Good Friday. I forgot that X was picking up the kids on Good Friday to have some extra time with them, as he’s off work.
So I’m walking out the front door when he shows up. “What are you doing here? It’s Friday.” sez I. “Yeah,” sez he, “GOOD Friday. Remember, you agreed I could have the kids an extra day?”
So I felt like a complete idiot. I’d planned to pack the kids’ stuff for the weekend tonight. Now I had to run back upstairs and help them throw all the needed clothes into their bags. I am not quite sure what they ended up with. LOL. Oh well. It’s not like they are going to Azerbaijan. They’re just going to their dad’s. If they need something, they can come get it.
But I ended up being half an hour late for work. Sigh. No one wants to stay late on Friday!
