Made It!
We had a wonderful weekend. The children and I went to PF Chang’s for supper on Friday evening, went home and got ready for bed, read a chapter in our Dr. Doolittle book, and were tucked in with the lights out right at 9 p.m. We didn’t wake up until 7:45 on Saturday morning, just in time to get the boys dressed for their father’s 8 a.m. pickup time.
I went to the first kid’s game at 9, did a few simple errands, and went to the second kid’s game at 11:30. At 12:30, I headed home for lunch and to meet my parents. We went to Home Depot to look at stuff, and then to my house to clear the last few boxes. We finished at 7:30 p.m. and went to the Philly Cheese-steak place for supper. I was in bed with the lights out at 9:30.
On Sunday, I woke up at 8 a.m. and dawdled around the house with my folks all morning. At noon, we headed to the Lowe’s and Home Depots in other parts of town, where we walked our poor feet into nubbins. We finished at 7:30 p.m., and went to my grandma’s house, taking Abuelo’s for supper. We left there at about 8:30, and I was in bed by 9:45. I got up at 6:45 this morning.
I feel so much more rested and in control than I did last Friday, and I am getting a whole lot more done. And since the house is now empty, I won’t have to be up late any more. Life can return to normal.
