Things Are Moving Fast!
They pulled out the tub, took down the kitchen cabinets, and took out all of the linoleum in the house yesterday. They also took down a section of one wall, where we are opening up a room a bit to make a more convenient entrance.
Under the tub, they found quite a hoard of acorns. It’s been a ground squirrel living under my tub all these months. As the contractor put it: nothing can get at him there, it’s out of the weather, it’s quite roomy, and twice a day it gets nice and toasty warm.
We went to Home Depot last night to choose replacement linoleum and formica for the countertops. We also had to pick shingles. They’re installing the new tub today, and the new surround tomorrow (maybe). I have to pick a new sink for the half-bath. It won’t be long before I’m picking paint and wallpaper.
It’s going so fast!
