Looking Forward to the Weekend
Gad, what a week!
I’m working my tuchis off at the office, going to Mom’s to get the kids and eat dinner, and then going home and packing until 11 or later. Except Tuesday. I was so exhausted Tuesday that I went to bed at 10.
So far, the only rooms that are completely packed are the bathrooms — all that’s left is our hairbrushes, toothbrushes, and bathrobes in the full bath, and that stuff goes with us to Mom’s. The smallest bedroom is about 85% packed, and the playroom is about 40% packed. The living room is about 20% packed. The kitchen, laundry, and bedrooms — I haven’t even started them yet. I’ve got four nights and two days. Tonight and Friday night, and all of Saturday and Sunday. I’m strongly toying with the idea of taking Friday off work, to give myself an extra day. There’s just SO much to do!
The PODS container will be delivered tomorrow sometime, and then I can start moving some stuff into it. Right now, most of the packed boxes are in the half-bath or in the smallest bedroom. Others are scattered through the house. Empty boxes are stacked almost ceiling-high in the living room.
I can’t wait for Sunday night. We’ll be completely moved out by then, and moved in at Dad and Mom’s for the duration. I might actually get a full night’s sleep. What a concept!
