A Long Weekend
This is going to be a great weekend. Since my parents will be out of town celebrating V-day, I took off from work to take care of the kids.
We’re going to get up really early and take the car to the mechanic. We have to wait there while the oil change and tune-up are done, so we will do school-work in the waiting room. Then we will take the car to Sam’s to get new tires. Again, that’s going to take time, so we’ll do some more school-work in that waiting room.
Then, it will probably be lunch-time. I may take the kids to Chuck E. Cheese, Chick-Fil-A, or Bahama Breeze. Depends on how good they are.
Then we will go and have formal portraits made of one of them — a once-a-year event for each of the boys. After that, we’re free to do what we want … ALL weekend. We will probably have the other kid’s picture made on Saturday, and one of the boys has a basketball game, and we will, of course, go to church on Sunday, but other than those things, we’re free.
I’m thinking zoo, or, if it’s too cold, maybe going home and playing video games until our eyes bug out.
