New Year’s Weekend
Well, we’ve goofed off most of Saturday and Sunday, and today the children and I will go at it hammer and tongs to clean the house. The main thing is this folding of clean laundry. If I could just get that done, so that I could have my couch and the other half of my bed back, I think it would make me feel a million times better.
So the plan is to spend 15 minutes cleaning a room, and then spend 15 minutes folding. I can’t do more than 15 to 30 minutes of folding at a time, or my back seizes up and hurts like the dickens.
We’ll probably take at least one load of stuff to the storage building. I’ve got a box of vases and candlesticks to go, as well as some boxes from Christmas gifts that need to be kept. (I always keep the boxes from electronica in case they ever need to be sent for servicing. It’s easier and safer to pack them if you have the original boxes and padding.)
Anyway, I’m hopeful that today we will make significant headway in getting the house in order.
