A Jolly Holiday

We had a lovely time over the holiday weekend. The kids were with their father on Saturday and Sunday, so I spent Saturday working on household chores, and I spent Sunday at Mom’s, helping her get ready for the Christmas Day family gathering.
The kids and I spent the night at Mom and Dad’s, and the kids actually let us sleep until after 8 a.m.! That was wonderful!
The kids loved all their gifts, and I got some great stuff as well. I think my family liked the things that I gave them, too. And we played lots of games and ate and talked and ate and played with the kids and ate … it was a nice, relaxing day.
And it’s been very quiet at the office this week, so I’ve been able to clear quite a bit of the backlog off of my to-do list. Nice!
