Basketball Season Starts
I didn’t get as much done as I wanted over the long weekend, since I had a killer migraine that started on Thursday and lasted until Tuesday afternoon. Still, I did get the boys room, the kitchen and laundry room, and the bathrooms completely clean (as in, pulling out the furniture and dusting / vacuuming behind it, and so on). This weekend, I want to do my room and the living room. That will leave only the playroom and the library in a shambles. We can work on those next weekend.
Except. Basketball season has started, which means that the boys have practise once a week and a game every Saturday. They are on different teams this year. Which means two practises and two games a week. This weekend, kid 1 has a game at 9 a.m. on Saturday, and kid 2 has a game at noon. So we will be done with basketball and able to do other things by 1:30 p.m.
Except. This weekend is the children’s Christmas program at our church, so the boys have rehearsal on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, there’s church from 11 to noon, the Christmas program from 3 to 4, and handbells from 5 to 7. I think we’re going to take a picnic supper to eat in the parking lot between program and bells. LOL! (Lunch won’t be a problem, since the boys’ favourite Mexican restaurant is just down the street from church, and it’s not very expensive. I can feed all three of us for about $20, even if we all get dessert!)
So I may only get one room done this weekend, but that’s okay. As long as the eating, grooming, and sleeping areas are tidy and clean, I think we’re all right. I’d like to have the “living” areas clean and neat, but since we pretty much only sleep at home, the living areas are not as crucial as the bedrooms, baths, and kitchen.

Clean boy rooms? I am very afraid at the thought of cleaning my sons room as it will likely draw me in and swallow me … never to be seen again.
I applaud you!!
