Loooong Weekend! Rah!
It’s Thanksgiving, and the biggest thing I am grateful for at the moment is a four and a half day weekend. I got off early this afternoon — work let out at 3! And tomorrow, of course, is the big family day with the huge feast and day-long board game frenzy. Friday, the kids are off to Atlanta with their father, and I won’t see them again until lunch on Monday.
While I’m a bit worried about the long driving trip from Memphis to Atlanta for the boys, I’m thrilled to have the house to myself for three whole days. I can get a LOT done, God willing. The last three weekends, I’ve planned big work, but I’ve had one thing or another interfere. Unless I get sick again, which I hope won’t happen, I should be able to get most of the house clean in these three days. And THAT will take a huge load off of my mind.
