Finally Getting Back to Normal
Basketball practise starts tomorrow, but that’s the only schedule-interrupting thing going on from now until after the new year. I”m done with tests, done with the writing job (we just couldn’t get my schedule to mesh with their needs, so they let me go), done with everything extra. Time to get the house in order (and packed up) and get on track with life.
With basketball practise starting, I will be back to working out at least twice a week, as I can hole up in the fitness center while the kids are in the gym running up and down the court with their coaches. From 5:30 to 6:45 every Monday and Thursday, you’ll find me sweating to an audiobook. Improve (or divert) the mind while whipping the body into shape.
I finally took out the second mortgage and paid off a lot of credit card bills. Made sense. No closing costs, and an 8.4% interest rate, with money to pay off the bills and fix up the house — or keep paying the credit cards off at 12 to 20%. No brainer. So I’ve “transferred the debt,” as my mother would tell me, and I can now start getting our financial lives back on track, too. Yay me!
