Friday, Thank Goodness
I’m glad it’s Friday for a number of reasons.
It’s been a tough week at work, with multiple projects and lots of “urgent” requests. I’m tired. A couple of days away will be nice. My boss is out of town most of today, and all day Monday and Tuesday, so I can take that time to catch up and breathe a bit.
Tomorrow is the big exam. After tonight, it’s all over but the shouting, and I can stop obsessing about this test. I won’t know the results until July. If I pass, I pass. If I fail, I take it again in November.
Sunday is the last day of handbells until fall. I love playing bells, but it always takes place during the busiest time of my year. So I’m glad to be looking at a break in that schedule for a while.
All of this means that after church on Sunday I will have two of my four biggest time-takers off of my plate. The third will be over next Sunday; the fourth is the kids’ baseball participation, and I’m not sure how long that will go on. But I can handle one big time-taker. I have trouble when I try to juggle four.
