Thinking About All That I Do….
One of my readers who uses my blog seeds to good advantage asked in a comment on one of the daily seeds if I ever got around to reading the plantings that were inspired by one or more of the seeds I offered.
As I responded to the query, I was struck by how very much I am involved in. It’s no wonder my reading list has gotten shorter and I have little time for dating or socialising … here’s the list I made for my reply:
I’m a single mother who is
- homeschooling and carefully rearing two children
- holding down a full-time, 40-hour-a-week job
- teaching a Sunday school
- teaching a children’s choir
- rehearsing weekly for a chancel choir and handbell choir
- assisting with church communications and planning
- freelancing as an editor and and graphic designer
- updating seven blogs
- writing a novel and a non-fiction book
- writing articles for submission to various venues
- keeping up an E-bay/Half.com business
- maintaining, upgrading, stocking, and overseeing a home and yard
- teaching CPR/AED/First Aid for the Red Cross
and other sporadic responsibilities and commitments … I’m sure I’ve missed several. It makes for a busy life. And the list doesn’t include the recreational things that I do, like playing in an online Scrabble league, making hooked rugs, playing flute and piano, and cooking (for fun). I didn’t realise I was so busy!
