A Busy, Productive Day

I was awakened by the phone this morning … it was the kids’ coach telling me that all basketball games had been cancelled due to the ice storm we had last night. Goodie! I have a whole day to work around the house.
I read a book until 9:30, then I took a shower and got dressed. Then I buckled down to it. Here’s what I’ve accomplished today, so far.
- cleaned my room and changed the bed linens
- cleaned both children’s rooms and changed their bed linens
- cleaned the library
- cleaned both bathrooms (one full, one half)
- written and submitted four articles for the Love to Know site I write for
- washed and dried five loads of laundry
- folded and put away a couch full of clothes
- cleaned the kitchen
- made and eaten three meals
- played two games of online Scrabble
Considering that I didn’t start until 10:30, and it’s now just 9, I’m doing quite well. I still have to process and freeze a package of chicken, but that shouldn’t take long. I want to be in bed by 10:30, so I”m going to do the chicken, put some more folded clothes away, and then take a nice hot bath.
