T.G.I.F.!
Hoorah! The weekend is here! I was SO ready. It’s just been a really hard week both at work and at home, and I just want a time to do MY thing.
Our area is expecting a big winter storm again this weekend … half of me hopes it comes, and half hopes not. If it comes, I will be free to stay here at home and work through the weekend on whatever I want to do. And maybe I will even get a three-day weekend, if it’s messy enough. If it doesn’t come, it’ll be a normal visitation weekend, with basketball in the morning on Saturday, and do what I want in the afternoon.
I have about ten articles to type up and submit to the website I write for, and, of course, there are always chores to do around home.
Last night was scary! There was a wind storm, and at 2 a.m. I woke to the sound of shattering glass. After I walked the house to see where the burglars were breaking in, I realized that the sound had come from the outbuilding just a few feet from my bedroom window. Something had broken out the glass in the window of that building. I couldn’t see anything, so I lay back down, but it was quite some time before I got back to sleep. And this morning before I went to work, I nailed an old vinyl shower curtain over the open window — I’m out of Visquene, and I had to do something to cover the hole since we are expecting rain/sleet/snow.
Now, I am going to bed. I want to get an early start tomorrow.
