I Hate Computers
My boss gave me a really cool project today, and I was very excited about it. Especially when, at 5 p.m., I had the hardest part of it finished. I had carefully saved my work throughout the project, and I saved it once again before printing it and closing the file.
I took the printout to show my boss, and he made some corrections. I thought I would make the easier ones before going home, so I clicked to open the picture. It wouldn’t open! That’s when I noticed that the “Size” column noted that file as 0 K. WHAT?!
I have no idea what happened, or why it didn’t save the file. Or why it didn’t gripe at me about the file. You know Windows — it usually flicks a pop-up box on the screen for the tiniest of nothing-reasons. So why no warning pop-up for this major problem?
My boss thought it might have saved the file elsewhere on the network by mistake, so I left my computer searching for it when I left the office. I doubt it will find it, though. Which means four hours of work just went down the tubes. ARGH!
