Change of Plans
I had intended to start another 10-day stint on the “Lemonade Diet” on Friday, but circumstances intervened. You see, last Wednesday was Administrative Professionals Day, and my bosses traditionally take us out for lunch. But last Wednesday was also right smack in the middle of Pesach, so my Jewish bosses couldn’t take us out. They rescheduled the lunch for this week. They are going to take us to a new, fancy-schmancy restaurant. All the admins are very excited.
Well, I was going to skip it and do my fast anyway, but one of the admins begged me to put it off. I really want to make friends with her, so I agreed.
Then I realised that putting it off a week would mean that I’d be fasting on Mother’s Day. Now, I am a single mom, and it’s not terribly likely that anyone will ask me out, but just in case, I’m going to wait one more week and start my next 10-day stint on the Friday after Mother’s Day.
In the meantime, though, I am going to follow my low-carb plan fairly closely, and I have already started exercising again. I hope to see more pounds and inches melt away in the next several weeks.
