Maintaining the Progress
I have not yet gained back any of the weight that I lost on my 25-day cleanse/fast/diet. That is encouraging. I’ve had only two meat meals since breaking the fast; the rest has been soups and stews: vegetable soup, ratatouille, leek soup, and mimosa soup. I did have some feta cheese with the leftover ratatouille. It’s lovely when warmed and reduced in a bit of walnut oil and then sprinkled with feta. It’s better than pizza!
Anyhow, I was afraid that with all the grapefruit juice and soup I’ve been consuming, I’d gain some weight back. But I haven’t. In fact, though I didn’t lose any weight this week, I did lose some more inches. I expect I will lose some weight next week when my cycle resets. And when I can start exercising again. It’s hard to lose weight when you cannot exercise.
