A Beginning
Wow, so where does one start when launching one’s very own “first blog”? I’ve actually been blogging for about seven years, but in a members-only community. This will be my first solo gig. Several friends from that community have made the transition, and with membership fees on the increase, I decided it was time for me to do the same.
Thanks to my brother, who set everything up to get me started. He’s a techno wizard of the first order, and a fantastic photographer to boot. That’s his link over there: CA Griffin Photography. Check him out … he didn’t charge me a penny for the help, and I know a lot went into it.
I’ll be playing with the themes and colours and widgets and stuff over the next week or so. So readers should be prepared for randomness … at least for a while. Things will settle down eventually, when I get everything just the way I like it. Yes, I’m a perfectionist. It has its good points as well as its drawbacks.
I’ll be posting a lot … at least once a day. Some of it will be stuff I’m moving from my old blog as I prepare to cancel that membership. Some of it will be new. I’m looking forward to the conversations that we’ll have about the things I post, new or old. I hope that my readers are, too.
I have a lot of interests, passions, and ideas. And I like to talk. A lot. So there will be a lot of different topics here … I’m hopeful that there will be something for everyone. And I hope everyone will feel free to comment. Agree or disagree. Start a debate. (Just do keep it family-friendly. Please. )
So, welcome to my blog. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you’ll check back with me a lot over the next weeks and months. I’ll try to make it worth your time.
