What Do You Say?
I don’t really know what to write. Tomorrow is the foot surgery.
Nervous … yeah. I don’t like general anaesthesia. I don’t like not knowing what’s going on around me, and I don’t like being out of control. Ugh.
Relieved … yeah. The pain has been pretty bad the last few days, so it’s nice to know that once I recover from the surgery, the pain will be gone. Who’d have thought a few bits of bone could cause this much trouble!
Tired … OH yeah! It’s been a rough week, and I haven’t gotten a lot of sleep. Everyone assures me that I will be quite rested after it’s all over. LOL!
Seriously, it’s been SO busy this week.
- paid bills
- retained new divorce lawyer
- edited 300 page dissertation
- taught new girl at work to do four major parts of her job
- organized my entire work area
- washed clothes
- cleaned half of the house
- created 42-page newsletter
- walked a 5K
- wrote thank-you notes
- bought supplies for the office
- organized two bedrooms
- filed three boxes of papers
- bought and put away groceries
- filled and washed the car
and some other little things.
So, yeah, I am ready for a break. I just wish I could take this break and do something fun. Oh well, maybe next year.
