Working Today

Yeah, I know, it’s Saturday. But an editing client of mine needs her manuscript marked and back in the typesetter’s hands ASAP. So I’m editing.

What’s nice is, I researched some tips for our favourite family video-game (River King: A Wonderful Journey, by Natsume), so I can sit with the kids in the den and work on the manuscript while helping them figure out what the next step is toward solving the puzzle of the game.

And we will probably go to my grandmother’s house tonight to watch her community’s fireworks display. I know it’s more convenient to have these on the weekend, but it just seems wrong, somehow, to have the fireworks on the last day of June! But that’s when they are having the display, and we don’t miss a fireworks display in this family!
