Weekend’s Coming
Which is a good thing. This weekend sees the end of yet another of my time-takers, although it seems that a recurrent one will start up again on Saturday. If the rain stops. It’s been raining off and on for the past week. Rained out practise on Tuesday night, and may rain out Thursday’s as well. Saturday is supposed to be the kids’ first game … and they’ve had only one practise. Should be interesting.
Sports means the loss of half a day every weekend. This time around, it doesn’t mean the loss of an evening for me, because practises are scheduled for 5 p.m., so X is taking the kids to practise, because he gets off work at 3:30 and I don’t get off until 5. If I took them, they’d be 30 minutes late every time.
I have to take the kids clothes shopping this weekend, and I need to get their pictures made. They don’t need much, but they do need a few things for the trip they are taking with X at the end of the month. We’ll go to the kids’ consignment stores and see what we can find there before I shell out money at the pricey stores.
