Company Holiday Party Today
This is the second one in two weeks. The original party was postponed because a number of people were unable to make it through the ice and snow to the office for the first party. But those of us who did make it had brought our contributions and, of course, those things had to be eaten. They wouldn’t keep for a week, in many cases.
So last night I whipped up another batch of salmon-stuffed eggs, a coeur a la creme, and a huge batch of Heroin Wings. I was out of strawberries, so I flavoured the coeur a la creme with Godiva white chocolate and cappuccino liqueurs. This morning, I picked up a bag of frozen berries at the store, so people can have the thawed berries if they prefer.
We’re also having beef tenderloin and a lot of other things. I am going to eat whatever looks good among the side dishes, but I will stick exclusively to my coeur a la creme for dessert. That should keep me out of trouble, waistline-wise.
